Reservation Conditions and Cancellation Policy

By accessing this website or using our services, the user acknowledges having read, understood, and accepted these conditions in full.

2. Scope of Application

This website has been created for informational purposes and for the professional offering of boat rental and charter services in Ibiza and Formentera.

Access to the website, navigation, and use of any service implies acceptance of:

  • The Cookie Policy

Only persons with full legal capacity to contract may make reservations. All data provided during the booking process must be accurate, complete, and truthful. The company reserves the right to refuse or cancel any reservation if incorrect or incomplete information is detected.

3. Orders and Reservations

All services are offered at the prices displayed at the time of booking confirmation.

A reservation becomes valid only when:

  • The reservation form has been correctly completed, and
  • 100% of the total charter price has been received through an approved payment method.

No reservation shall be considered confirmed without written confirmation sent by email to the address provided by the client. If the confirmation email has not been received, the client must contact us immediately. Without this confirmation, the reservation is not valid.

4. Modifications and Cancellations by the Client

Once confirmed, reservations cannot be modified or cancelled without written consent from Rent Boats Ibiza. Any approved modification may result in price adjustments based on availability and updated conditions.

5. Payment Methods

Payments are processed using secure payment systems. Credit card payments are accepted via encrypted SSL servers, ensuring maximum security.

Accepted cards:

  • Visa
  • MasterCard

American Express is not accepted.

Payments via secure electronic commerce (CES) systems are required. If authorization is declined by the issuing bank, the reservation will be automatically cancelled.

Failure to complete payment prior to departure results in automatic cancellation of the charter.

6. Cancellation Policy

To confirm any reservation, full payment (100%) is required.

In case of cancellation by the client, the following refund policy applies:

  • 100% refund: Cancellation more than 30 days before departure
  • 75% refund: 30 to 14 days before departure
  • 50% refund: 14 to 7 days before departure
  • 25% refund: 7 days to 24 hours before departure
  • No refund: Less than 24 hours before departure or no-show

A minimum administrative fee of €150 + VAT will be charged for any cancellation, regardless of refund amount.

Bank fees and transaction costs are non-refundable.

7. Weather Conditions

If weather conditions make navigation unsafe (wind gusts of 25 knots or more and/or heavy rain at departure time), the company will first attempt to reschedule the charter to another available date.

If rescheduling is not possible, a 100% refund will be issued.

Cloudy weather or non-dangerous sea conditions do not justify refunds.

8. Passenger Capacity

Each vessel has a legally authorized maximum passenger capacity, which must be strictly respected.

No additional passengers may board beyond this limit. Failure to comply will result in cancellation without refund.

9. Charter with Skipper

All boats are rented with a qualified skipper holding the required nautical certifications.

The charter duration, departure and return ports, navigation area (Ibiza and/or Formentera), and itinerary are specified at the time of booking.

10. Insurance

All vessels are covered by compulsory insurance policies, including civil liability and passenger coverage, subject to the specific terms of the insurer.

11. Security Deposit

If a security deposit is required, it will be specified in advance. The deposit may be used to cover damages, losses, or delays not covered by insurance. Any excess cost beyond the deposit must be paid by the client.

12. Subleasing

Subleasing or transferring the charter to third parties is strictly prohibited.

13. Jurisdiction

Any dispute arising from these conditions shall be governed by Spanish law and submitted exclusively to the Courts and Tribunals of Ibiza, expressly waiving any other jurisdiction.

15. Intellectual Property

16. Taxes and Invoicing

All prices include applicable VAT within the European Union unless otherwise stated. Invoices are issued once full payment has been received. Electronic invoicing is available upon request.
